FTL Beach

Spending a day at Ft. Lauderdale Beach has a million pros and only one con: deciding which adventure to choose first. Opportunities for watersports are front and center here, including jet skiing, snorkeling, parasailing, paddleboarding, kayaking, fishing, sailing, scuba diving, and more. If taking things slow is more your style, check out beach yoga, hosted by Ft. Lauderdale Beach Yoga and Fitness and open to all ages and skill levels several times a week.

Everglades Holiday Park

Conveniently located minutes from downtown Fort Lauderdale, Everglades Holiday Park is the perfect destination for adventure lovers and nature enthusiasts alike. Serving as the “gateway to the state’s most exciting natural attractions,” visitors to the park can book public or private airboat excursions for a fascinating and fast-paced fully narrated tour where you’ll get to explore the natural habitat of the Florida alligator and many other incredible species of plants and wildlife. After your tour, animal excursions, live gator presentations, and more fun-filled activities are available so you can choose the next stage of your adventure. Perfect for families, groups, and children of all ages, this outing is a real crowd pleaser and a sure bet for making great memories.

Jungle Queen

In operation since 1935, the Jungle Queen Riverboat is Fort Lauderdale’s longest running tourist attraction–and also one of its most popular. The Jungle Queen’s signature offering is the Island Dinner and Show Cruise, where guests experience a fully narrated sightseeing tour down Ft. Lauderdale’s New River, also known as the “Venice of America”. As you float down Millionaire’s Row, you’ll get a front row view of the mansions and super yachts of the rich and famous residents who live and vacation here. The evening continues with a BBQ dinner and all the fixins at the Jungle Queen’s private tropical isle, which is also where live entertainment takes the stage. Enjoy a lively show featuring comedy, music, magic, and much more. Sightseeing-only tours are also available.

Water Taxi

Get a front row seat to the lay of the land here in Fort Lauderdale–from views of celebrity mansions and high rises, to boats of all shapes and sizes– all from the deck of your friendly neighborhood Water Taxi. With your taxi pass, you can easily hop on and off this 11-stop route that winds along the Intracoastal Waterway, whether its to catch a show, peruse the myriad of eclectic shops, or make a beeline to the next Happy Hour detour. Next time you’re here, don’t miss this fun and convenient option for exploring the city in style.

Canyon

If you dream of dimly lit dining rooms, familiar favorites with global flair, and an intimate space for a good conversation, you and the good folks at Canyon should meet. A Fort Lauderdale favorite for over 25 years and Open Table’s Diner’s Choice of 2022, this spot is one of the coolest in town– James Dean cool–with a black and white mural of the actor as the dining room focal point. At Canyon’s full bar, tequila and mezcal are the stars of the show, with the infamous Prickly Pair Margarita coming in as the clear fan favorite. On the menu you’ll find a wide selection of small plates for sharing, like the smoked salmon tostada with goat cheese and a scotch bonnet tartar sauce, or the beef tenderloin tacos with toasted chilis and chipotle cream. If you’re not in the mood to share, the large plate menu is just as impressive, featuring rigatoni green chili cabernet short rib and seared tuna with wasabi boniato mash, cucumber-pear slaw, and cilantro-ginger vinaigrette. Thanks to Canyon, your Ft. Lauderdale vacation just got a whole lot more delicious.

Tap 42

Atmosphere, atmosphere, atmosphere. That’s what you’ll hear when you ask anyone who’s ever been to Tap 42 to describe what makes this Ft. Lauderdale hotspot so special. The sheer ambiance of the place—from a bar that stretches as far as the eye can see to the warm industrial chic decor–makes you want to sit down with a good friend and stay a while. And stay a while you can–with dozens of draft beers on tap, a slew of delicious handcrafted cocktails, (you can order them by the pitcher) and a menu buzzing with mouthwatering options from small plate snacks, to burgers, to full fledged entrees and brunch on the weekends–there’s nothing left to do here but be impressed. Specials and happy hours are on rotation all week long, so be sure to take a peek at what’s happening as you plan your visit.
